Do you have a print disability or work with someone who does who needs a resource not available at a Texas State University Library? Check HathiTrust! Texas State’s University Libraries can download full-text of HathiTrust works, even the works that are still in copyright, as an accommodation for a person with a print disability.
Designated library staff can download eligible titles from among the 10 million works that are still in copyright after verifying that the person requesting the work is eligible for an accommodation. If you have a disability, you can have a HathiTrust book downloaded by filling in the HathiTrust Eligibility Verification and Request Form or emailing your request to library@txstate.edu. University Libraries will verify your eligibility with Office of Disability Services (students) or Office of Equity and Inclusion (faculty/staff), then download the book and email it to you.
HathiTrust is an online database of fully searchable books and documents from research libraries across the country. Texas State has joined the HathiTrust partnership. Any Texas State faculty, staff, or student can now download the six million works that are in the public domain by logging in with Texas State NetID.
See our HathiTrust LibGuide for more information, including tips on creating collections of works based on your interests and using HathiTrust Research Center tools for text mining.
We are pleased to offer the full range of HathiTrust resources and services to all here at Texas State.
Please let us know if you have questions about HathiTrust or if you’d like more information about integrating this resource into your courses or projects.
