Open Education Week (March 4-8) is fast approaching!
Great topic – I mean, who doesn’t want to learn to make their classes more affordable and engaging for students? But terrible timing as it’s the week before spring break AND in the middle of midterms
But that’s all the more reason to stop and breathe – and the library is happy to be your justification! Bring a snack, take a break, and learn about three different facets of Open Education!
- Monday, March 4th, 12-12:50pm – Open Education Week: Introduction to Open for Teaching, Learning, and Researching . Learn about Open Educational Resources (OERs) you can use in your classes.
- Tuesday, March 5th, 2-3pm – Open Education Week: Finding Openly Licensed Media & Educational Resources for Research, Teaching, & Publication. Learn how to find and use open access images, video, and other content for your and your student’s work.
- Wednesday, March 6th, 11-11:50am – Open Education Week: Improving Student Engagement with Open. Learn how to use Open Pedagogical techniques to increase student engagement with a specific assignment.
