The University Libraries invites students to participate in 2025 TXST Open Datathon 

In celebration of Love Data Week 2025, Texas State University Libraries is excited to host the second annual TXST Open Datathon from Feb. 7-14, 2025! Join us in this global celebration of data, observed each year during the week of Valentine’s Day, and dive into an interactive week dedicated to discovering, applying, and presenting open data on real-world issues. Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and we’re thrilled to build on that momentum. Whether you’re new to data or an experienced enthusiast, we welcome you to be part of this exciting week! Event Overview 
The TXST Open Datathon 2025 offers students a hands-on experience using open-access datasets to address meaningful challenges and research questions, culminating in a friendly, data-driven competition. TXST students are encouraged to form a team of up to 4 to participate. Through this event, participants will sharpen data management skills, from basic open data identification and data cleaning to advanced analytics and visualization, while fostering collaboration and networking opportunities with peers and mentors.
