Round Rock Campus Library expands to meet growing campus needs

Extensive renovations to the Round Rock Campus (RRC) Library were recently completed.  The expansion includes increased seating area allowing for approximately 20 more capacity and a new room for Quiet Study.  Now students can enjoy the benefits of uninterrupted study in carrels equipped with individual lighting.

The library also added a new Information Desk which will serve as an intersection of all library services. This centralized service point is where patrons can receive assistance and perform circulation functions such as return materials, pick up requested items and check out items placed on reserve.

Other changes include the relocation of the librarian offices.  Students can stop by for reference help or contact the librarians by chat, phone, appointment, or use our Ask a Librarian @RRC service.

Some things have remained the same.  RRC Library continues to maintain responsiveness to student needs with specific areas dedicated to collaborative or quiet study.  All Texas State University users have access to 36 computers, and a black & white and color printer and scanner. Patrons can browse the RRC Library collections in the stacks and request items housed in the Closed Collection.

We would like to thank the students, staff and faculty for their patience and support during the renovation!

  1. I love the updated library. Of course, I have always thought the librarians were superb in customer service, and I know that will continue.
