If you’re graduating in spring or summer of 2021, Make Your Mark on Texas State by getting a recording of yourself in the University Archives. Just come to the first floor of the library on either Monday April 26th or Tuesday April 27th, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and record a five-minute audio segment. You can share something about your experiences at Texas State, or what you wish you’d known as a freshman, or about a person who’s helped you over the years – you can decide what you want to talk about. Like old yearbooks and class photos, your recording will be stored in the University Archives forever.
How does it work?
- Come to the YouStar Studio (ALK 108) on the first floor of the library in Alkek One – alone or with a friend – on Monday April 27th or Tuesday April 28th, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Fill out the form and follow the instructions to make your recording.
- And that’s it! Not sure what to say? We have question prompts for you. Not sure how to do it? Kira Wright, YouStar Supervisor and former television news producer will be happy to assist and interview you.
This is the first collaboration between University Archives and the YouStar Studios in Alkek Library – and it’s something we hope will become a yearly tradition for graduating students. Come be part of our first graduating class and have your words stored for future generations to hear!
